Axl RO's backstory with his former army unit somewhat parallels his namesake, Axl Rose's, own position within his band, Guns N' Roses. Rose is the sole original member of the group still yet to leave, whilst RO is the last known living member of his unit.

It is a mechanical humanoid Stand that brings out everything and everyone that its victims can be said to have discarded, using them to bind said victims.
All of the games listed below have been, or are being, released in Japan. To date, Capcom's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and CyberConnect2's All Star Battle and Eyes of Heaven have been the only games from the series released in the West.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Suzi Q's personal butler, seen in Stardust Crusaders, is named Roses note , a possible allusion to Guns N' Roses. Axl RO from Steel Ball Run gets his name from Axl Rose, whereas his Stand, Civil War, gets its name from the song off of Use Your Illusion II.
