4 Ιουν 2017 · This National Road era jug-shaped monument, at one end of the bridge crossing the Monocacy River in Frederick, earned it the name "Jug Bridge." It was built in 1808 by Leonard Harbaugh for $55,000. The monument resembles a demijohn, a popular 19th century whiskey decanter.
