Kansai Airport in Osaka is not a bad airport. Japan's critical lack of living space has led to the conception of nothing less than an artificial island of formidable dimensions, to install there its grandiose exit to the skies.
Kansai airport, is located on a specially built island in the Bay of Osaka. The terminal is 1.7 km long, with 42 boarding gates, designed to handle 100,000 passengers a day. Its long and light structure was designed to withstand the violent earthquakes which often affect this region of Japan.
Designed by Renzo Piano, standing on an artificial island in the middle of Osaka Bay, Kansai international airport is considered one of the busiest and innovative airports around Asia.
