2 Σεπ 2023 · Earlobe repair surgery is a straightforward procedure that takes under an hour. Recovery is usually quick, with no downtime. Lifting or repairing stretched or torn earlobes can boost your self-confidence and give you more freedom in your hairstyle and earring choices.
Adjuvant treatment should be considered for patients who have residual keloid tissue within the body of their ears/earlobes. Magnetic disks (Fig. 13) shall be used as the primary method of adjuvant treatment for all such patients (see KRF Guideline-MD) and should be continued for 3-4 months.
In a study on 26 pinna keloids, in 20 patients, Gupta and Narang used combined therapy of shaving surgery and mitomycin C solution of 1 mg/ml applied locally with a contact time of 3 minutes, right after the surgery and 3 weeks later.

During this time, you should leave your earrings in day and night until the piercing has fully healed to prevent an infection. If a keloid develops around your ear piercing after the piercing has healed, contact a healthcare provider.
27 Οκτ 2023 · Fifty-two patients with a total of 56 ear keloids have been treated in the same session with a single CO2 laser procedure + a pulsed Dye laser procedure with an adjunctive EmoLED® procedure for 3 up to 6 min.
The device is then worn for a minimum of 23 h a day for the first three months, thereafter night-time use is advised. The elastics should be replaced every other day for maximum localized pressure to prevent keloid recurrence. They are comfortable, transparent and aesthetic.
