The album features a full cast of rock-n-roll characters - some celebrated, some lesser known - but the collection of songs is unified by its lyrics.

16 Νοε 2012 · All in all Seeds of Change is a good solid album and the best of the three Kansas related albums that came out in 1980 and one of the few in Kerry's solo collections that I would rate higher than 3 stars.
19 Μαρ 2014 · The 1980 debut solo album from Kansas guitarist/songwriter Kerry Livgren was pieced together during moments of downtime away from his main band’s recording sessions for Audio-Visions, their seventh studio album. Like Livgren’s skimpy blond moustache, Seeds Of Change is small but perfectly formed, consisting of just seven tracks.
Kerry is able to pull off enough magic from the previous glory years, update it to the contemporary simplified prog and pop-rock sound and make it almost as accessible as the Kansas album by then. The choice of multiple singers is effective and even the undisputed Steve Walsh appears as a vocalist.
