Google Maps shows it's an easy 6 minute drive (2.9 miles). Freshfields Village is right at the traffic circle where you turn for Kiawah. Beachwalker Park beach access with picnic tables, bathrooms, and parking is right down the road.

This is a beach walk that starts from the large public parking lot at Kiawah Beachwalker Park. This park is located on the west end of Kiawah Island, and offers beautiful views of the ocean front along with a river view.
Kiawah Beachwalker Park, located on the west end of Kiawah Island, offers 10 miles of pristine waters and sandy shore. The park offers the only public beach access on the island.
Beachwalker is the only part of Kiawah's beach with life guards, restrooms, and snack bar in summer. From the park, you can walk west along Captain Sam's Spit, experiencing a truly unspoiled section of beach, to view the Kiawah River inlet between Kiawah and Seabrook.
