This 600 is an extremely rare and high quality trumpet, handmade made in the USA. Serial number is in pics (37 210609) and corresponds to the years 1960 - 1965 for manufacturing period. This is considered by many to be one of Kings best trumpet manufacturing periods. King began crafting instruments in 1893.
5 Ιαν 2005 · It will be correct if you start in 1960, place the omitted numbers 370,001 - 406,500 in the 1960 - 1965 time interval, and then move the number ranges ahead five years each from that point... Do a Google search for King trumpet serial numbers, and you can find some other links that show correct information, without this omission.
The serial number puts the manufacture between 75' and 80'. The valves are super smooth, the slides all move easily. As you can easily see by the photos, the mouthpiece is beautiful, and the instrument is in good condition overall.
17 Οκτ 2006 · The serial number has 2 sets of numbers (a total of 8 digits), which is confusing to me because the serial numbers on the King website only have 6 digit numbers. His trumpet serial number is: 33 2466xx.
The king 600 is a student model trumpet. Although it's a nice American made horn, dating it by the serial number isn't going to add to the value. You might be able to find out when it was made but it doesn't matter.
