Prophet Hud (may peace be upon him) called his people to worship Allah (سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ) exclusively and renounce all other forms of worship. He implored his people to question the rationality of worshiping gods created using their own hands.
The Moroccan mystic Abdulaziz ad-Dabbagh gives detailed information about Hud: According to him, 53:50 alludes to the fact that Hud was sent to the second ʿAd tribe, which lived after Noah. The first 'Ad tribe had a messenger named Huwayd, whose message was to be revived by Hud, and the tribe was destroyed with stones and fire by God.
26 Απρ 2024 · Everybody believed that Hud (AS) was crazy, mocked him, and accused him of hurting their ‘Gods’. Then, a drought struck the area and cracked the land. No drop of rain and people’s heads were on fire. Hud (AS) asked the people to believe in Allah and that he would bring rain but they laughed at him.
19 Οκτ 2007 · Allah wanted to guide and discipline these people, so He sent a prophet from among them. This prophet was Hud , a noble man who handled his task with great resoluteness and tolerance. Ibn Jarir reported that he was Hud Ibn Shalikh, Ibn Arfakhshand, Ibn Sam, Ibn Noah .
31 Αυγ 2009 · Sent by God to his brethren, Hud spread the message that God is One and to worship Him alone. It was the same message spread by all the Prophets of God. Hud said to his people, “O my people, worship God, you have no other God but Him”. (Quran 11:50).
25 Οκτ 2023 · Renowned Islamic scholar of the 14th. century Ibn Kathir, reports that Ibn Jarir also claims that Hud was a descendant of Noah. Sent by God to his brethren, Prophet Hud spread the message that God is One and to worship Him alone. It was the same message spread by all the Prophets of God.
3 Ιαν 2022 · Hud (as) was a noble man, who relied only on Allah, and who measured his words before he spoke. For example, when his kinsmen accused him of being a fool, all he merely said was that he was not, and that he was only assigned by Allah to warn them.
