Prophet Hud (may peace be upon him) called his people to worship Allah (سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ) exclusively and renounce all other forms of worship. He implored his people to question the rationality of worshiping gods created using their own hands.

13 Ιουν 2024 · Prophet Hud عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ was the most pious person amongst his people. He consistently followed the right path of believing in the Oneness of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى. So, his first advice to the people was to stop worshiping Idols, as also mentioned in the above Quranic verses.

The Moroccan mystic Abdulaziz ad-Dabbagh gives detailed information about Hud: According to him, 53:50 alludes to the fact that Hud was sent to the second ʿAd tribe, which lived after Noah. The first 'Ad tribe had a messenger named Huwayd, whose message was to be revived by Hud, and the tribe was destroyed with stones and fire by God.
