Prophet Hud (may peace be upon him) called his people to worship Allah (سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ) exclusively and renounce all other forms of worship. He implored his people to question the rationality of worshiping gods created using their own hands.
Hud is referred to in the Baháʼí Faith as a Prophet who appeared after Noah and prior to Abraham, who exhorted the people to abandon idolatry and practice monotheism. His endeavors to save His people resulted in their "willful blindness" and His rejection.
25 Οκτ 2023 · Hud tried to explain to his people that seeking God’s forgiveness for their rebelliousness and arrogance would only cause an increase in their strength and wealth. God, he said, would reward their repentance with abundant rain and an increase in strength.
19 Οκτ 2007 · Hud tried to speak to them and to explain about Allah's blessings: how Allah the Almighty had made them Noah's successors, how He had given them strength and power, and how He sent them rain to revive the soil. Hud's people looked about them and found they were the strongest on earth, so they became prouder and more obstinate.
26 Απρ 2024 · Everybody believed that Hud (AS) was crazy, mocked him, and accused him of hurting their ‘Gods’. Then, a drought struck the area and cracked the land. No drop of rain and people’s heads were on fire. Hud (AS) asked the people to believe in Allah and that he would bring rain but they laughed at him.

10 Ιουν 2023 · Hud AS was deeply saddened by his people’s reaction, but for a long period, He kept on trying to bring them to ALLAH’s oneness and leave false gods. Meanwhile, ALLAH gave them several hardships and a long famine so that they may repent and return to ALLAH.
