The alternative is a plinth skirting that creates a solid base at floor level. Toe kicks versus plinths is a recurring debate, and one that's come to the fore on Instagram recently.

22 Οκτ 2021 · Some people prefer the look of base cabinets without a toe kick, or an open bottom with legs. While this is fine for storage cabinets like the one below , it isn't recommended for a kitchen or bathroom.
Ikea sells cabinets like this, and even have toe kick that clips to it. Then you just replace the toe kicks if you don’t get them off in time. We have also fastened boxes right to the wall, no legs or toe kick.

22 Δεκ 2021 · Updated: December 22nd, 2021. Cabinets always have a kick at the bottom, and choosing between recessed and flushed toe kicks can be tough. Flush toe kicks are better if you want one that is flush to the floor, whereas recessed toe kicks allow room for your feet.
