Customer: We have a Kodak V705 which is showing error e45. We have tried all the suggestions that we could find online, removing the memory card and the battery - no luck. Camera will turn on and lens opens and closes, but we get a black screen and the error message. Any suggestions?

Try removing the batteries, and leaving the camera on a (dry, non-humid, non-dusty) shelf for a long time (at least 1 hour), or for overnight. Then put the batteries back in and try the camera again.In the meantime: take the memory card out of the camera.
This type of a problem usually occurs if the camera was dropped while the lens was extended. Simply - VERY GENTLY - press down the lens on the side where the gap is the biggest. You should hear a "click" as it pops back into place. Try powering the camera back on.

My camera, although not in warranty is only two years old and has a similar fault to your LS443 and the owners manual suggests return to kodak for a firmware update. The policy is to pay A$45 for a quote or A$525 for a repair whatever the problem.
