Through OASys, aspiring and current City employees may apply for exams and pay for application fees online, obtain information on their scheduled test sessions and the results of their exams, and become eligible for merit-based civil service positions.
Residency Requirement: The New York Public Officers Law requires that any person employed as a Firefighter in FDNY be a resident of the City of New York or of Nassau, Westchester, Suffolk, Orange, Rockland or Putnam Counties.
