20 Ιαν 2024 · On the Rambla de Canaletes, the initial stretch of La Rambla near the Plaça de Catalunya, you’ll find one of the best known monuments in Barcelona, the Canaletes Fountain (in Spanish Fuente de Canaletas, in Catalan Font de Canaletes).
The Canaletas Fountain is where Football Club Barcelona fans (known as Cules or Culers) come to celebrate the club’s victories. This tradition dates back to the 1930s when the newspaper La Rambla had its offices in front of the fountain.
El font de Canaletes, located at the top of Las Ramblas, is perhaps the most famous fountain in the city. The legend goes that if you drink from it you are condemned to return here ( Aquél o aquélla que beba de su agua volverá a Barcelona) .
20 Ιαν 2024 · Tot sobre la Font de la Rambla de Canaletes. L’origen del seu nom prové de la font original del segle XVI, que disposava d’unes canaletes que conduïen l’aigua que brollava de la font cap a un abeurador on s’anava acumulant. L’actual font, realitzada en ferro, és del segle XIX.
