PermitLA is the City of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) application to obtain online permits* for small projects that do not require plan check. For a list of these permits, click the link Online Permits Informational Bulletin.

ANCHOR BOLTING/BRACING FOUNDATION: General. The Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) Electronic Permit System (e-Permit system) allows for the issuance of a permit to seismically retrofit cripple walls in residential wood framed buildings of one to four dwelling units and three stories maximum height per LADBS Standard Plan No. 1.
