It’s smooth, rich, and creamy – and when you consider that it’s a 7.60% ABV beer, that seems like quite a feat.

It’s a full-bodied ale, and sticky sweet in the middle with caramel and honey, and the finish lingers on the tongue with orange and ginger, with the first hint of bitterness this beer offers, with just a touch of rind.

  6. I brewed a Lagunitas IPA clone this summer and mashed at 160. My brew buddy kept insisting this was too high, but I forged onward. The reason is simple: Lagunitas told me to. Jamil did a podcast on BN a while ago and had Lagunitas' brewmaster on, who basically explained the whole process.

  7. This beer has ALL of the attributes of an American Strong Ale. Great malt presence, delicious hop profile and the two marry together just about perfectly. Slight bitterness from the citrus based piney hops.
