In this study, the language attitudes about the perceived Spanish dialects in Mexico are analyzed using a maptask. A group of Mexican immigrants in the U.S. was asked to draw on a map of Mexico where they felt that people speak Spanish differently.
The Constitution of Mexico does not declare an official language; however, Spanish is the de facto national language spoken by over 99% of the population [1] making it the largest Spanish speaking country in the world.
