For direct injuries, the average angle made between the bony architecture and the intermuscular septum at the 25% distal level was 118.4°±17.4° (range 81.1 to 155.0, figure 2A), whereas for indirect injuries the angle was 121.2°±17.1° (range 78.9 to 163.0, figure 2B).
The medial intermuscular septum of the arm blends with the tendon of coracobrachialis and is continuous with the fascia of teres major on its lateral aspect. It is perforated by the ulnar nerve and the superior and inferior ulnar collateral arteries.
26 Σεπ 2015 · Separating the anterior compartment from the medial and posterior compartments are two well defined fascial thickenings, the medial and lateral intermuscular septa, which attach to the femur and are associated with the fascia lata.
22 Αυγ 2018 · This patient’s clinical presentation with specific electrodiagnostic abnormalities, operative findings and post-operative symptom relief point towards compression of the radial nerve at the level of the lateral intermuscular septum as the cause of his symptoms.
25 Φεβ 2017 · The Segond fracture is an avulsion fracture involving the proximal tibia immediately distal to the lateral plateau as a result of varus stress with internal rotation of the knee. It is well established that Segond fractures are associated with ACL tears, meniscal tears, and damage to the other structures of posterolateral corner of the knee.
A known site of limited mobility for the radial nerve, the lateral intermuscular septum can cause chronic compression after an insult to the humerus. In one reported case, delayed radial neuropathy occurred three months after a humeral shaft fracture and was the result of the radial nerve’s entrapment within the lateral intermuscular septum ...
21 Ιουλ 2021 · This moves the initial incision slightly anteriorly, uses the more readily palpable tibia, and makes the medial and lateral incisions symmetrical at 'two finger breadths' from the tibia, simplifying the procedure.
