OPD providers can start submitting the prior authorization requests on June 15, 2023, for dates of service on or after July 1, 2023.

16 Φεβ 2023 · Outpatient Department Prior Authorization (PA) The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has established a nationwide prior authorization (PA) process and requirements for certain hospital outpatient department (OPD) services.
The CMS has added two new service categories to the hospital OPD Prior Authorization program. For dates of service beginning on or after July 1, 2021, the additional hospital OPD services will require prior authorization as a condition of payment.
