Visitors are now able to tour the Ranch at their own pace in their private vehicle with the ability to stop at sites along the way such as the president's birthplace, Johnson family cemetery, and the president's first school.
Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park is a United States National Historical Park in central Texas about 50 miles (80 km) west of Austin in the Texas Hill Country. [4] The park protects the birthplace, home, ranch, and grave of Lyndon B. Johnson, 36th president of the United States. [5]
The LBJ Ranch is located 14 miles west of Johnson City near Stonewall, Texas. A second visitor center, operated by LBJ State Park and Historic Site, is located near the Ranch. In order to see the LBJ Ranch, visitors obtain a free driving permit at the LBJ State Park and Historic Site Visitor Center.
