We have no spiritual power or victory when we doubt. Unbelief cannot please God. See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you have a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. Satan is pleased when we do not believe God and cannot exercise authority in the spiritual realm.
So Jesus says, “Bring the boy to me” (Mark 9:19). There is a categorical difference between Jesus and us having to do with faith. Jesus had perfect faith. We don’t. We live by the grace that covers our imperfect faith. We live by Christ’s power being made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We live by trusting Christ to do
Jesus answered, “Everything is possible for one who believes.”. Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “ I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief! ” Note the beautiful prayer of confession and plea for help by the father! This needs to be our constant prayer too!

10 Ιαν 2021 · The ability and willingness of Jesus to help those who call on Him (9:25-29) Jesus frees the boy and gives him new life – Jesus accepts the man’s confession and extends mercy on the boy. We should praise God that He hears our prayers, even when our faith is imperfect.

Jesus takes the boy by the hand, lifting him up, and the boy rises. Jesus privately informs the disciples as to the reason for their failure - Mk 9:28-29. Jesus explains the need for prayer in a case like this. Many manuscripts add the need for fasting as well.
