Ingredients. 2 packets active dry yeast. 1 ⅓ cups warm water (115-120 degrees) ⅔ cup sugar. ⅔ cup vegetable shortening, room temperature. 1 cup leftover mashed potatoes (warm) 2 ½ teaspoon salt. 2 large eggs, beaten. 6-6 ½ cups flour. 2 tablespoon butter, softened. Instructions. Combine the yeast with ⅔ cup of the warm water in a measuring cup.
