The official zoning classification map located in the office of the zoning administrator shall be the final authority as to the current zoning status of property, buildings and structures in the county, being paramount to any purported copies thereof.
Zoning regulates the uses allowed on land and the location of improvements on that land and the regulations are enacted according to the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) (55 ILCS 515-12001 et seq) and the Lee County Zoning Code.
Any zoning ordinance enacted by a city, village or incorporated town shall supersede, with respect to territory within the corporate limits of the municipality, any county zoning plan otherwise applicable.
