The focus of the K-12 Art curriculum is PHILIPPINE ART, CULTURE and HERITAGE, appreciating the diversity of our local artists, our arts, crafts, and indigenous materials to strengthen the student’s identity of being Filipino, before he/she is introduced to the art of other countries.
This detailed lesson plan explains how to teach a lesson on contemporary Philippine arts from the regions over 4 sessions of 60 minutes each. The lesson will help students understand the significant roles of Filipino artists and identify their contributions.
This document contains a daily lesson plan for a Grade 12 Contemporary Philippine Arts class. The objectives are for students to appreciate contemporary art forms from various regions by understanding elements and principles, and to present an integrated art form based on a chosen region.

The module contains Lesson 1 – Arts in the Philippines. After going through this module, you are expected to: 1. define contemporary arts; 2. describe the art forms from the various regions through the development of Philippine arts; and 3. describe various contemporary art forms from the regions based on the elements and principles of arts.
This module was collaboratively designed, developed and reviewed by educators both from public and private institutions to assist you, the teacher or facilitator in helping the learners meet the standards set by the K to 12 Curriculum while overcoming their personal, social, and economic constraints in schooling.
This module is self-paced module for Senior High School Grade 12 Students under Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM). Since this module assumes that the learner can read and study independently, the module provides instructions and content on Contemporary Philippine Arts from the Regions focusing on Different Contemporary
