Nope. Just today (Sep. 2, 2023) we had our 3rd compressor replacement. We purchases the LG Craft Ice in 2020. The tech said LG compressors have a faulty seal that will fail. He went on to saybLG has known of the issue for years. He also said the issue impacts all LG refrigerators. If you're buying LG you better get an extended warranty!
From what I have read (researching an LG that I recently bought), compressor issues were a problem through 2020. Apparently LG has done a redesign (or materials upgrade) to the linear compressor. Failings have been significantly reduced (as with anything mechanical failings are never eliminated).
My 7 year old LG Fridge had its Compressor finally fail. I am still considering paying the Labor cost to get it replaced (could be as much as $1000) or buying a new fridge. Can I trust an LG?
