Surpass Copycat is a Z39.50 copy cataloging tool that allows users to find and download free MARC records from the Internet. Users can simultaneously search multiple libraries such as the Library of Congress, public libraries, medical libraries and state-wide union catalogs. Over 200 libraries come pre-configured.
Open World is a ten-day program administered by the Congressional Office for International Leadership that brings emerging leaders from Eurasia to the United States to engage with professional counterparts.
These sets are just a small sample of the Library's digital collections that are free to use and reuse. The digital collections comprise millions of items including books, newspapers, manuscripts, prints and photos, maps, musical scores, films, sound recordings and more.
The Open World program has utilized Congressional leadership and people-to-people engagement to provide foreign visitors with a multi-level federal, state, and local introduction to accountable governance and American life.
