21 Δεκ 2016 · Doujin literally means "same person" and a circle is basically a group of like-minded individuals who get together to release doujinshi about their shared interest. It might be a specific series like Shingeki no Kyoujin or Haikyuu. It might be a demographic like shoujo, or it could be a theme like BL (Boys Love).
It's a biblical reference because the anime is trying to portary Light as a devilish character and L as a Jesus figure. It's a symbol of "loving your enemies" and also a sign that death is coming for L and that Light will become the new L.

Because of this, we would strongly recommend you to read LNs, but if you’re persistent you can start reading the LN from the Epilogue of Volume 3. This is the point from which anime diverts from the Light Novel as seen in Episode 9.
