This interactive map allows you to explore USDA-NCSS soil survey data for locations throughout most of the U.S. It is compatible with smartphones, tablets, and desktop computers. Getting Started. 1) Go to Menu->Zoom To Location to enter your area of interest or let your browser determine your current location.
25 Φεβ 2011 · This data set is a digital general soil association map developed by the National Cooperative Soil Survey. It consists of a broad based inventory of soils and nonsoil areas that occur in a repeatable pattern on the landscape and that can be cartographically shown at the scale mapped.
This project will develop lime requirement calibration models for California soils based on six standard laboratory test methods using 120 California soils selected from the San Joaquin Valley, North Coast and Sacramento Valleys of California.
Objectives. Evaluate soil acidity on 100 soils from across the Central and Northern California, with emphasis on tree and vine crops. Evaluate six buffer pH methods cited in the literature on California soils. Evaluate lime equilibration models based on soil buffer pH.
10 Μαΐ 2014 · Lime-treated soil effectively increases the strength, durability and workability of the soil. Such treatment also improves soil compressibility.
The procedures outlined in this document can be used to determine whether a soil can be stabilized with lime and, if so, to quantify the minimum amount of lime required to produce long-term strength, durability, and the other desired properties of a lime-stabilized soil.
Soil Stabilzation. Lime can be used to treat soils in order to improve their workability and load-bearing characteristics in a number of situations. Quicklime is frequently used to dry wet soils at construction sites and elsewhere, reducing downtime and providing an improved working surface.
