13 Ιαν 2014 · I have just recently re-installed windows vista on my laptop (Dell 1525). It used to connect to the wifi fine, but sometimes would only have limited connectivity to the network with no internet access, but would right itself within the next day or two.
17 Δεκ 2021 · “Limited connectivity” happens when a computer can make an initial connection to a network, but gets no response to its request for an IP address and further connection information. With limited connectivity, the computer can’t really communicate with others on the network.

8 Ιουν 2010 · Control pannel>System>hardware tab>Device Manager (may be slightly different for vista). Yes, I have a wireless card which Windows confirms is working properly. There are other wireless networks in the area but with a much weaker signal than mine . They are all security enabled as indeed is mine.
If you are experiencing limited connectivity, it could be because your connection has already used its limit of data. Changing your settings to unmetered can assure you can scroll endlessly with no connectivity limits.
12 Δεκ 2008 · If this is the issue, you may be able to overcome it by using a different WINDOWS profile for home and work by setting Vista as if it was going to be used by different people, call one user profile “Home” the original “Work” etc.
6 Νοε 2010 · That 169.xxx IP address is a local only address so your Vista desktop is not getting an IP assigned by the router's DHCP server. You could try to assign a static IP address to the desktop machine to see if that helps. To try that: Local Area Connection Properties > Right click on Interntet Protocol V4 > Properties.
