Plot. Trevor, a young man with green lizard scales on his skin, sits in his room and laments a failed relationship, attributing the breakup to his scales ("Trevor's Song"). Tired, he takes a nap and dreams of a strange woman singing hauntingly to him ("Overture").
LIZARD BOY is a rock musical fantasy full of melodic and witty songs. Inspired by works such as X-Men and Spider-Man, it is very timely with a theme that counteracts bigotry and racism, and promotes self-ac-ceptance and self-realization. The musical was recently a big hit at the Edinburgh Festival and in the US and UK.
Synopsis: Lizard Boy follows the story of Trevor, a young man with lizard-like traits who struggles with his identity and place in the world. As Trevor grapples with his past and his unusual abilities, he agrees to meet up with Cary, whom he connected with on Grindr.
Trevor wants to go back home and hide away forever (“Lizard Boy”), but he finally confronts himself and his own destructive cycle of thoughts and behavior. He realizes that he has been his own obstacle, and vows to change.

13 Αυγ 2022 · New rock musical Lizard Boy features an unexpected and delightful mix of dragons, Grindr, and superpowers. The fabulist premise is established immediately. Protagonist Trevor creates a Grindr profile and reveals – as the title so obviously suggests – that he is a lizard person.
