In 1887, passing of intermediate examination was made a prerequisite for admission in the law program. Later that year, three-fourth attendance was made mandatory for appearing in the examination. In 1890, Government of India empowered the college to confer LL.B. and LL.D. degrees.
To be considered for admission to PCL, the applicant must have earned a B.A or equivalent degree from an accredited College or University. He must have a good academic record and qualify in the personal interview.
Programme overview. The CertHE Common Law is a qualification in its own right that also provides an entry route to degree study. The modules studied in the CertHE Common Law are the same as the Level 4 modules of the LLB. The CertHE Common Law may be studied either full-time or part-time.
