Throughout the 1970s and 80s, the museum told the story of our nation’s conflicts through the eyes of the citizen-soldiers of the Pennsylvania National Guard. Thousands of school children and adults toured the “trench”, viewed the exhibits, and attended special events.
The site contains an extensive selection of photos, numerous articles and more than 600 items of clothing, equipment and weaponry from the conflict. In researching the war we have, wherever possible, used authoritative texts and official documents.

The Pennsylvania Veterans Museum is dedicated to preserving, protecting and promoting the legacy and dignity of all veterans of the United States military. Our focus is to tell the stories of America’s conflicts through the eyes of those who served in them.
