There are two primitive campsites at Lost River State Park that are accessible by hiking 1.5 miles on White Oak Trail to the top of Big Ridge Mountain. A public shelter, campfire ring, picnic table and latrines are on site. No potable water is available. Campsite No. 1 is horse friendly.

A renovated ranger cabin on top of Big Ridge Mountain near the historic Lost River Fire Tower is available for overnight rentals. It is a pack-in, pack-out style camper cabin only accessible by hiking two miles on White Oak Trail to Miller’s Rock Trail.
Vacationers in Lost River State Park can choose from a variety of accommodations, including hotel rooms, hostels, or overnight stays at one of the state's four hotels. Stroll through the park and enjoy the surrounding ridges and their natural beauty, as well as the picturesque views.
Vacationers at Lost River State Park may choose from among 26 cabins for their overnight accommodations. Of these, eleven are comfortably furnished deluxe cabins of modern design with wood-paneled walls and forced air furnaces.
The camping options are a primitive site on top of Big Ridge Mountain and a car camping site by a ball field and picnic shelter. The primitive site requires a significant hike. Once you get there, you'll find a picnic shelter, latrines for men and women, and a shed of firewood.
