15 Ιουν 2018 · Results. Our results suggested that a decreased pretreatment serum albumin level was closely related to a worse overall survival (HR 1.88, 95% CI 1.43, 2.48; P <0.01) and cancer-specific survival (HR 1.65, 95% CI 1.08, 2.52; P =0.02).

30 Νοε 2021 · Painless haematuria is the most common presenting symptom in bladder cancer and should be investigated in all cases. Other common symptoms include dysuria, increased frequency and/or urgency (Figure 1).
12 Μαρ 2021 · Patients with carcinoma in the muscle-invasive stage should be given multimodal treatment, including radical cystectomy with urinary diversion and perioperative systemic therapy; alternatively, bladder-preserving chemoradiotherapy can be offered in selected cases.
12 Νοε 2022 · We review the management of non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC), muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC), and metastatic urothelial cancer from a radio-oncological, urological, and oncological point of view, highlighting the European and North American perspectives on best practice.

1 Δεκ 2017 · Hypoalbuminemia is a common condition in cancer patients. One study showed that up to 82% of critically ill cancer patients had low serum albumin concentration ( < 35 g/L), half of them had levels of albumin below 20 g/L with a crude mortality rate of 22.5% (Ñamendys-Silva et al., 2011).
The study concluded that in patients with BCG unresponsive bladder carcinoma in situ and papillary NMIBC treated with BCG and the novel agent NAI, complete response was achieved with a persistence of effect, cystectomy avoidance, and 100% bladder cancer specific survival at 24 months.
