Here, we report the results of a double-blind, prospective trial in postmenopausal women with low bone density to address the hypothesis that bone quality measured in terms of MRI-derived strength, microstructure, and adiposity is improved by daily application of low-intensity vibration, relative to placebo.
Here, we applied this technology to a cohort of postmenopausal women with varying bone mineral density (BMD) T-scores at the total hip (-0.524 ± 0.843) and spine (-0.795 ± 1.03) to examine the response to intervention after 1 year of daily treatment with 10 minutes of vibration therapy in a randomized double-blinded trial.
30 Μαρ 2022 · The scan uses low dose x-rays to measure bone density and determine a patient’s ‘T-score’. Widespread testing would help improve patient awareness and encourage early treatment – such as Low-intensity Vibration – thereby increasing efficacy.
The purpose of the VIBMOR trial is to determine the efficacy of low-intensity whole-body vibration (LIV), bone-targeted, high-intensity resistance and impact training (HiRIT), or the combination of LIV and HiRIT on risk factors for hip fracture in postmenopausal women with osteopenia and osteoporosis. Methods.

28 Ιουλ 2022 · There are 2 main types of vibration therapy — whole body vibration (WBV) and low intensity vibration (LIV). Local muscle vibration (LMV) has also been used and studied.
1 Οκτ 2021 · A systematic literature review revealed that there were statistically significant improvements reported in terms of improved BMD outcomes in the use of WBV with or without resisted exercise (RE) vs no intervention in 11 of the randomized controlled trials (n= 442).
