The proportion of stage I NSCLC treated with radiation as single initial treatment rose markedly from 14.7% in 2010 to 25.7% in 2016. Patients with stage IV NSCLC aged 65 years or older were most likely to be untreated (38.3%).
16 Σεπ 2021 · Conventionally fractionation radiation, defined as radiation treatments administered in 1.8–2.0 Gy fractions, typically given 5 days a week over the course of several weeks, is widely used in many cancers including NSCLC (see Table 1 for a summary of fractionation definitions used this chapter).
A total of 112 tumors (101 metastatic and 11 primary non-small cell lung cancer) were treated with RF ablation. Tumor diameter ranged from 0.6 to 4 cm (median 1.5 cm). Effectiveness of treatment, complications, and survival were analyzed.
Radiofrequency ablation (RFA), the most commonly used technique for ablation, has a reported rate of complete ablation of ~90%, with best results obtained in tumors <2 to 3 cm in diameter. The best reported 1-, 3-, and 5-year overall survival rates after RFA of NSCLC are 97.7%, 72.9%, and 55.7%, respectively.
22 Δεκ 2021 · The purpose of this guideline is to help clinicians involved in the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer accurately confirm the presence of stage III non–small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and offer the most appropriate treatments.
22 Μαρ 2016 · Adaptive radiation therapy for lung cancer yields clinically relevant reductions in normal tissue doses for frequencies of adaptation ranging from a single replan up to daily replanning. Increased frequencies of adaptation result in additional benefit while magnitude of benefit decreases.
8 Ιουν 2022 · Radiotherapy is one of the most common treatments for NSCLC, and the tumor sensitivity to radiotherapy may affect individual prognoses of NSCLC. However, predictable signatures related to the radiotherapy response are still limited [].
