Massachusetts charities, and non-Massachusetts charities operating or soliciting in the state, are required to Register with the AGO and submit Annual Filings (Forms PC), which must be done using the Online Charity Portal.
27 Οκτ 2023 · Charities with an AG Number must now prepare and submit their annual filings (Form PC and attachments) through the AGO's online Charity Portal. The process involves creating a free Charity Portal account, which is linked to individual email addresses.
Click on the ‘Manage Form PC’ button. Type in the Attorney General Account Number or Employer Identification Number into the search bar. Click the ‘Search Charity’ button to return the results. Using the dropdown, select the correct charity. Click on ‘Get Form-PC Filings’ button. Scroll down to the ‘Create a new Form PC’ section.
Every public charity organized or operating in Massachusetts or soliciting funds in Massachusetts must file a Form PC, except organizations which hold property for religious purposes or certain federally chartered organizations. The Form PC, including attachments, becomes a public record and is open to public inspection.
File a Notice of Intent to Operate within 60 days of formation. Register with Massachusetts’ Department of Revenue online. Filing fee is $100 (+50 if filing the Short Form PC. Check the sliding fee if filing the full Form PC)
