Infinite Mac is a project by Mihai Parparita to make classic Mac and NeXT emulation easily accessible. It uses WebAssembly ports of Mini vMac , Basilisk II , SheepShaver , DingusPPC , and Previous to allow a broad set of System Software/Mac OS versions to run on the web.

QEMU is a very versatile and extremely broadly supported open source virtual machine emulator. In 2016, QEMU could finally achieve what has never been possible before: emulating Mac OS 9.0.4, 9.1 and 9.2.2 (albeit still it's quite slow and the sound support is kind of buggy at the moment).

18 Δεκ 2021 · Emulating Mac OS 9.2 with sound on Apple Silicon and Intel. I've already written a slap-dash guide on how to use QEMU on Apple Silicon prior to there being an Apple Silicon native version. Now there is one and that makes things easier. As always emulation is a legally grey area.
