Madrona Manor is located in Healdsburg California in the heart of wine country and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was built in 1879 by John Alexander Paxton. It has been open to the public as Madrona Manor Inn since 1981.
In 1881 this was home to John and Hannah Paxton. John Paxton had intended to build a winery here but sadly, he was never able to achieve that goal. He died aboard a steamship bound for England. Hannah remained at the manor until her death in 1902. The property was first opened in 1981 as a bed and breakfast.
