19 Δεκ 2017 · Three commercial hematite powders were characterized to assess differences which may affect their use as iron precursors. The hematites have varying particle and crystallite sizes and hence different magnetic properties. Additionally, mixtures of hematite-magnetite powders were studied.
30 Νοε 2014 · Hematite nanoparticles are synthesized by using the hydrothermal synthesis method. The SQUID measurements show blocking temperature TB = 52 K and superparamagnetism. A TEM measurements show spherical particles and narrow size distribution. The sample did not exhibit the Morin transition.

Here we present ab initio calculations of the tensorial exchange interactions of hematite and use them to understand its magnetic properties by parametrizing a semiclassical Heisenberg spin model.
