English films will either be dubbed in Thai with English subtitles, or subbed in Thai. Other foreign languages will be subbed in Thai and English, they may be dubbed in Thai (English subtitles) or rarely English (Thai subtitles).
US (or other foriegn films) are shown in two versions - one in the original soundtrack language with Thai subtitles, and one with Thai dubbing. When you check the listing at the theater the title of the film is often follow by (E) or (T) indicating which language its showing.

Despite these minor inconveniences, the Avenue movie theatre is considered the best cinema in Pattaya by many. It's quieter and more intimate than SF, offering the same selection of movies at cheaper prices. For instance, a premium seat costs 120 baht, compared to 220 baht at SF.
The cinema is a good option to watch a movie if you are in the area. It is not as high-end or plush as some others in Pattaya but the prices are cheaper as well. Great way to spend a couple of hours in air-conditioned comfort especially in hot weather.
