[ 1 ] [ 2 ] Formerly a railway tunnel, the tunnel has often been described as the "Gateway to Red River Gorge" for the shortcut it provides motorists to the Red River Gorge canyons of the Daniel Boone National Forest .

Pronounced "nay-duh," the tunnel is named after Nada, a long-gone logging town 10 miles away. The tunnel is 12 feet wide, 13 feet high, and 900 feet long.

Take a group photo at the tunnel entrance next to the "Red River Gorge Geological Area" sign. There's a pull off for the sign as well as waiting for cars to come through. You can see straight through the tunnel so it's easy to tell if it's clear.
