27 Σεπ 2017 · Adb method works flawlessly on android 8.1 for Sony AOSP roms on X and XZ premium. The trick is to run the program in recovery (with system mounted obviously), to avoid permission issues. Awesome tool!

so I'm trying to install the "fake locations allowed" patch on a Fire HD8. I've successfully created the smalipatchermodule-0.0.7.4-fOmey@XDA.zip file and transferred it onto the Fire HD8. However, that's it, the following steps:
Pixel 4 XL with latest stock ROM (QQ3A.200605.001)), rooted with latest stable Magisk (20.4 + 7.5.1), latest Smali patcher (0.6.7). Also using Fake GPS Joystick and Routes. Mock is set in dev options to the Fake GPS J&R app.
