The Maine Mariners are a professional ice hockey team in the ECHL that began play in the 2018–19 season. Based in Portland, Maine, the team plays their home games at Cross Insurance Arena. The team participate in the North Division of the Eastern Conference.

29 Νοε 2017 · “The logo is the team’s main identity, we worked with Big Room Studios to create a strong representation of Maine. We wanted something our team and fans would proud to wear” says VP of Hockey Operations, Danny Briere. The logo not only has a new look, but has new colors from when the team first played in Portland in 1977.
The name pays homage to Portland’s rich hockey tradition and it’s first pro hockey franchise. The Mariners follow in the footsteps of the AHL franchises of the same name (1977-92) and more recently the Portland Pirates (1993-2016), as they pave their own path at the Cross Insurance Arena.
30 Νοε 2017 · On Wednesday, the newest member of the ECHL revealed its colors and logo — two months after announcing its name. The Maine Mariners will wear green and blue and the logo above when they make their debut in the 2018-19 season. Created by Portland-based Big Room Studios, the logo is gorgeous.
