  1. the best thing you could do is do a lot of accessory relocation and try to reroute the intake hose so it gets the freshest air. by default, there are no kits that will do that for you.

  2. I bought a 135° coupler, an ebay hks filter, and 2 hose clamps. I took apart the stock airbox and slapped the coupler right onto the maf from the oem intake. Then from the coupler put the filter on and jimmied it around to fit behind the heat-shield(NB) that holds those relays.

  3. I would advise to snake your intake hose either left to run along the left side or top, maybe even snake it at a hard right over the top and side angle where it connects into the throttle body. Because one; you are having a cold intake pass over extremely hot metal, which would raise air temps.

  4. The stock intake has a resonator chamber that helps to smooth out the torque curve, This intake deletes that, so you may notice a slight flat spot in acceleration around 3-4k rpm. The stock intake also has a snorkel that is routed to the driver side fender so it can suck in slightly colder air.

  5. I love the concept of the racing beat U shaped cold air intake, but i cant get over the $330USD price tag. Has anybody tried to take on making something similar? How did it go?

  6. Recently bought an NB and was looking for an air intake to add a little to the acceleration and gas mileage, but not something very loud. Any suggestions?

  7. Replaced the air intake hose with an aftermarket one. OEM hose was chewed on by rats and have holes all over. Need tips on how to clean the engine bay.
