12 Απρ 2022 · The engine light just comes on, then when you check it using my FIXD scanner it shows this code but when you turn the car off then back on the fault is gone even on the scanner until next time. Is this a big issue as I will be towing a large trailer in two weeks.

19 Αυγ 2020 · OBD II fault code P061B is a generic trouble code that is defined as “Internal Control Module Torque Calculation Performance”, and is set when the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) and/or one of several other control modules detects a difference between the actual and desired engine torque value.
13 Μαρ 2024 · When the torque calculation control module detects an issue, it will trigger the P061B code, which will turn on the check engine light. This code can be caused by various issues, including a malfunctioning control module, faulty wiring, or a damaged sensor.
When a code P061B is stored, it means that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an internal performance error in the engine torque monitoring system. Other controllers may also detect an internal PCM performance error (with the engine torque monitoring system) and contribute to a P061B being stored.

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) compares the actual torque signal computed from an air flow sensor signal with the driver demand torque signal computed from an accelerator pedal position sensor signal. The PCM sets the OBDII code when the computed values are not to factory specifications.
