The answer from Przemyslaw Remin is mostly correct, however, upon reboot, "McAfee File and Removable Media Protection" starts again even if it is disabled from the Startup unless you have disabled the Encryption Core Services. Open Task Manager. Move to [Start up] tab.
The Removable Media Encryption application now appears empty or the files are hidden when we put in the encryption password, but there is still 1 Terabyte of encrypted data on the disk. I do know that the password works, so I believe that the issue is the encryption application on the drive.
