Contouring at McGowen Precision Barrels is done on state-of-the-art CNC equipment. We offer not only our standard McGowen contours, we also provide contours from Shilen, Douglas and Pac Nor as standard contours, along with contours that are standard for Remington and Savage.

Octagon Barrels. All of our Octagon barrels are cut on a CNC Machining Center making whatever you can dream up, we can do it. You want a traditional octagon, no problem. You want an octagon in a McGowen #4 contour, no problem! We also do Dodecagon barrels.

4 Οκτ 2024 · For those who require barrels that can withstand more abuse, our medium and heavy contours are the way to go. These barrels are built to handle larger bore diameters and are generally free from muzzle threading diameter conflicts, providing greater flexibility in your rifle’s design.

9 Μαΐ 2021 · I have three McGowen Remage barrels: .260 Ackley, .243 Ackley, .22-250 Ackley (see a trend?). All mounted on Remington actions that had the action and bolt faces trued. All are shooters. I plan to order another in 6mm Creedmoor when they have their next sale.
