27 Απρ 2023 · His faithfulness is a matter of His own character—God cannot deny Himself (2 Timothy 2:13). Scripture doesn’t ever manipulate us to action based on the potential loss of our position in Christ. Instead, we are exhorted to act because God is faithful and the promises He makes are certain.

If we died with Christ - and we did! This means that the moment we were saved, we were identified with His death - we died with Christ, and we are also identified with His Resurrection, which means we shall also live with Him.
Like Onesiphorus, Timothy must persevere for the sake of Christ and endure hardship. He must push on vigorously with his task of passing on the truth Paul has taught him. He should do this wisely and carefully, by instructing people who are trustworthy and have the ability to teach others (2:1-2).
