Alcohol can increase the nervous system side effects of levocetirizine such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience impairment in thinking and judgment. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with levocetirizine.
7 Δεκ 2020 · Xyzal may interact with alcohol, other medicines that can make you drowsy (cold or allergy medicine, sedatives, narcotics, sleeping pills, muscle relaxers, medicine for seizures, depression or anxiety), ritonavir, or theophylline. Tell your doctor all medications and supplements you use.
The use of alcohol or other medicines that affect the CNS with levocetirizine may worsen the side effects of this medicine, such as dizziness, poor concentration, drowsiness, unusual dreams, and trouble with sleeping.
Advise patient to avoid taking alcohol or other CNS depressants concurrently with this drug. Advise patient that good oral hygiene, frequent rinsing of mouth with water, and sugarless gum or candy may minimize dry mouth. Patient should notify dentist if dry mouth persists >2 wk.
